I've rated more than 4,600 DVDs (movies, TV shows, concerts, etc.) on Netflix through June '08. Since there is no "export" feature, I had to copy the titles manually to create this list, so I limited myself to only the 163 films I've rated 5 stars.

Please note that in the Netflix ratings scheme, the stars refer to how much the viewer liked the DVD: 5-Love It; 4-Really Like It; 3-Like It; 2-Don't Like It; 1-Hate It. It's possible that I respect and admire a movie, but was bored out of my skull by it (such as "Out of Africa" or "The Producers"). My rating would then be low, despite my recognition of its merits. It also means that some really cheesy movies will get inexplicably high ratings (such as "Plan 9 From Outer Space").

Clearly, though, I enjoy movies way too much. It's bad enough having seen 4,600 shows, but I have more than 1,000 DVDs rated at 4 stars, and another 1,000 at 3 stars.

I'm now over 5,100 DVDs. When I get a chance I'll update the list below.
